Hornblende
RocksForKids.com

Hornblende is found in many igneous and metamorphic rocks such as granite, syenite, diorite, gabbro basalt, andesite, gneiss and schist.
It is the principal mineral of amphibolites.
It is not technically a mineral in its own right.

This specimen shows dark brown hornblende crystals set in a piece of weathered calcite.
