Amazonite

Amazonite is a feldspar mineral that is usually blue-green. What makes amazonite special is its blue / green colour. When it breaks it has flat surfaces because it has perfect cleavage. It is a flashy mineral. It reflects sunlight with almost a schiller. Because it is beautiful it used in jewellery and as an ornamental stone. Small pieces of amazonite are tumbled and polished to make shiny green pebbles that people like to buy.
