About My Province Presentation: (Time: approximately
3 to 5 minutes)
 | Students pretend to be tour guides who are trying to
convince the class to take a trip to their province. |
 | 1 cue card is allowed - point form notes, no
full sentences |
 | While giving information about the province, the triptych can be
referred to though not read. |
 | The students are to use a large map of Canada (provided) to show the
location of their province. |
 | When talking about their province, students are to use a pointer and a
large map (provided) to point out what they are talking about. |
 | At least 5 photographs of their province must be shown during the
presentation. These photographs can be in books or magazines that have been
tagged. The photograph needs to be described. What special thing
about the province do they show? The audience needs to get a "flavour"
of the province by seeing things that are unique to that province or by seeing
things that the province is famous for. |
